Common questions

Cards aren't arriving

First check: System Settings → Notifications → Hanase is allowed to send notifications. Then in Hanase: Settings → Schedule — make sure Pause is off, the interval isn't set to a value that puts the next card outside today's window, and at least one pack is enabled under Content packs. Quiet hours can also be hiding the cards if they're set to cover your current time.

The catalog won't load

Hanase fetches the catalog from the URL set in Settings → Catalog source. Verify the URL is reachable from your network (some workplace VPNs block arbitrary HTTPS endpoints). The default catalog URL is the right starting point if you haven't customized it.

A purchase didn't unlock the pack

Open Settings → Purchases → Restore purchases. Apple sometimes takes a few minutes to propagate the entitlement, especially on a fresh device. If restore doesn't recover it, contact us — we can help you cross-reference the App Store receipt.

Watch widget isn't showing my latest card

The watch widget reads from the watch app's local snapshot. If your iPhone delivered a card but the watch widget hasn't updated, open the Hanase watch app once — that triggers the WatchConnectivity bridge to drain queued snapshots. If pairing isn't working at all, make sure both the iPhone and watch apps are installed and your devices are paired in the Watch app.

iCloud sync isn't catching up

Settings sync uses Apple's Key-Value Store — propagation can take a minute on a fresh install. Try toggling a setting on the device that's behind (e.g. flip Pause on then off); that nudges the store to pull the latest values.
